ASUS has introduced a dual-OS laptop with the Transformer Book Trio. With a simple hotkey you can switch between Windows 8 and Android Jelly Bean. Windows is powered by a Core i7 processor and Jelly Bean will be powered by a 2GHz Intel Atom chip. As for storage the tablet itself will 64GB of flash storage while the optional keyboard dock will have another 1TB.
Brits who can't decide between an Android tablet and a Windows PC soon won't have to. ASUS has announced that it's bringing the ASUS Transformer Book Trio to the UK on November 11th for £900 ($1,440) through Amazon, Ebuyer and John Lewis. While the dockable tablet on offer isn't quite as powerful as what we saw in Taiwan, it's still no slouch. The base Windows 8 PC carries a 1.6GHz Core i5 processor, 4GB of RAM and a 1TB hard drive; detach the 11.6-inch 1080p display and you're carrying an Android 4.2-based tablet with a 1.6GHz Atom, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage. ASUS hasn't said if or when the Trio will reach the US, but the UK release gives us hope that the multi-role PC will arrive stateside before too long.
