Lillehammer University College (LUC) is located in beautiful surroundings in central eastern Norway. The institution has a long tradition as education provider and is part of the Norwegian public higher education system.
LUC is situated just outside the city of Lillehammer and has approximately 5000 students and an academic and administrative staff of 380 employees.

Lillehammer is known for the Winter Olympics in 1994, different winter and summer sports events, recreation facilities as well as cultural events. The olympic games provided the region with unique winter sports facilities and arenas such as: Håkonshall indoor sports arena, ski-jumping arena, ski-stadium for cross country skiing, Kanthaugen Freestyle Arena, Lillehammer Olympic Bobsleigh and Luge Track and the world famous downhill ski arenas, Hafjell and Kvitfjell.
Lillehammer will host Winter Youth Olympic Games in 2016. Across 10 days, 12-21 February 1.100 young athletes from 70 nations will compete in 70 medal events. Thousands of youngsters will join this exciting sport and cultural event!
